By the way the A6 straight after Buxton is closed (well it was on Saturday) at the moment for anyone who goes down that road. To get to Buxton (I have to) then you have to use the A515.

Hey Ferret,

Last time I parked my car and trailer in the cafe car park. I think as long as you buy breakfast and make them aware its your car they're fine with it.

So fill up somewhere en-route before you arrive

Good mate of mine broke his leg last Sat off-roadng . . . had to be air ambulanced off Abney. . .going to see him Sat . . . might still manage Sunday though.

Yep that would be great as will need to fill up there anyhow, but looking at the photos it all looks very iffy, can't say that I am up for riding on snow covered tarmac.

Macc looks like a different planet to that photo, it is totally clear here and actually quite mild.

Likely route, No idea, we go were we fancy.
Distance, 100 miles max but plenty of petrol about and we have a stop for a brew.
Proportion of route off road, hard to say but I reckon 50/50 ish.

We tend to see what bikes folk turn up on then decide the route from there.

Urgent Update – Roych blocked by snow

Can vehicle users please note that the Roych (GR SK092825 to 060837)) is presently blocked by heavy snow. Jenny Southwell, the Pennine Bridleway Officer, has asked us to make users aware that the route is blocked by snow, but motorbikes are entering onto the track - getting stuck, and then riding through the fields to get onto Chapel Gate - or riding through the fields trying to find a bit of Roych they can ride. The farmer has pregnant ewes in the fields - and he is very concerned.

Can we ask users to avoid using this route in the near future. We will advise you once the route is clear again.
