Ride with Si Pavey & Nick Plumb in Wales - 27th-28th Sept. 2008

Hi y'all, just letting the UK riders know about a Touratech open day in Wales on the 27th and 28th Sept. It's going to be adventure bike heaven for a couple of days!! You can go off on a mountain ride with Simon Pavey aka Race to Dakar - BMW off road guru, or do a road ride with Guiness Book world record holders Globebusters. As well as meet the Race to Dakar guys and be with a load of like minded people.

Camping on the site and local B&Bs, beer tent, talks etc. Horizons Unlimited will be there and it ends with an on stage interview with Si Pavey, Nick Plumb and Charley Boorman. Charley will have lots to say about his latest adventure to Ozz.

Couldn't believe my luck . . . .had the Off-Road level one course booked for a couple of months now, and I'm doing it 26 - 27th September!

And then I find out it's going to be a mega weekend with the Touratech weekend and all that :D chuffed to bits or what!!!! :thumb2 so I'll be there amongst all of it :bounce1

I got the flyer in the post yesterday. I'm definitely up for this event. I was down there in July and met Nick plumb but this event should be amazing hail rain or shine
 
Shirley, Charley is doing a bit of riding with Simon that week. You may find he's out with you on ya ride. Be a laugh!!
The camping is actually just at the Touratech venue - bit of land round the back - not a proper campsite, but will do fine. Pray for a break in the monsooooooon!

PS. Remember Charleys new show is on tonite....

Loads of other names will be there for books n autographs. I know that Austin Vince and some of the Mondo Enduros will be there, Horizons Unlimited, Globe Busters and of course the Legend, Si Pavey - and Matt Hall (Race to Dakar) - you get the picture.

Attended the Dakar Legends evening last year which was brilliant (Patsy rocks!), any plans for another similar evening soon?

Don't want to dampen it for you, but will you have time to see the Touratech event if you're on the off-road course? :nenau

You start off and finish in a building on the same industrial estate, but otherwise you're out on the off-road section all day.

The TT 'event' is all weekend and up until midnight. Shirley they won't be out on the hills in the dark? ;)
 
Anyone want to take bets on whether theEnglishman has enough energy to attend the second event after picking up his bike a dozen times the same day? ;)

Hi, do you mean the show in Newcastle? We're thinking on taking it on tour around the country. Similar format. It's wether Charley has the time now that he's getting bigger and BIGGER....

Yeah, I reckon you'll finish about 4ish - so there's the rest of the day and then the stage show is'nt on till 7.30pm.
