Ride yesterday

Had a ride yesterday. Just around the dales, got stopped by the snow at one point. Andrew has put a picture on the picture a day thread to see if any of you know where it is. Go on have a look. I would think JB will get it fairly quickly but who else knows where we were?

Where have you placed the photo? I cannot find a picture of the day section.

I had a few good days riding, nothing much left towards the coast below Scarborough,it was a perfect spring day with good clean roads.
Sunday was over from Patley Bridge to Masham, plenty of drifts but all the roads were open. From Masham to Reeth it was a bit tighter between drifts but clear roads. Reeth to Hawes via Askrigg had a bit of slush. Hawes to Kettlewell was again clear between old snow drifts. There are probably a few unused back road dips in the shadows ready to catch you out.
Our Easter run out was from Thirsk to Richmond and there was no snow at all.

This picture above Lofthouse is about as bad as it gets between Airedale and Swaledale.

We went up to the Tan Hill Inn on Saturday and the roads were clear except for a few patches in the centre which I forgot about on the way back Managed to stay aboard though....

We were going in the other direction. A sign at the bottom of the hill in Cowgill said the road was closed beyond Dent station. So we had a ride up anyway and they were correct the road was still completely covered. Lets hope it will all go soon.
