Nope, it's a road ride. I'd make it clear if it was otherwise to save R1 owners having a moan.:)

run

Pity, there is a few muddy lanes towards Brid.

Arrived at the BP station at 9.45 and it would appear I missed everybody, It may have been while I was paying a call to the Turdis or perhaps you all set off a 9.30. My own fault as I never declared my intention to come along.

It was very cold and wet on the drive over from Leeds but the sky looked a bit brighter toward the coast. Sadly this was an illusion and it rained very heavily all the way to Bridlington. I don't visit this area much, preferring further north, but in this weather the roads were just about right.
After a lunch stop and walk round Brid the sun broke through the clouds, it was such a nice afternoon I continued round Flamborough and up the coast to Scarborough before heading home.

It was getting cold by the time I reached Leeds and I was thankful for my heated jacket and new heated boot insoles.

Sorry Sooty. It does say in the thread I link to:
Before you get there.

* LET THE ORGANISER KNOW YOU ARE COMING. It means they can let YOU know if its off/postponed/moved/running late...

* Make sure you have the ride leaders mobile number (mine is in my profile).....

Those that had let me know they were attending were contacted earlier this morning and headed to my house first instead of the BP garage where bacon butties were consumed in the warm and dry, and sodden boots were swapped for my Daytonas cos I'm nice like that, before heading off an hour later than originally planned, so the weather had passed ahead of us, meaning we had a dry* and warm (9 degrees!) run over to Flamborough for coffee and cakes here:

(* No rain falling but the roads were VERY wet with some flooded bits to wade through - two of us got wet anyhow as oncoming traffic didn't have the common sense to slow down.)

It was my own fault Adam, the rules are clear enough but Its a difficult time of year to commit in advance. Its better to turn up unexpected than be expected and not turn up, I appreciate how hard this makes it for organizing though.

Not a prob mate, just take note of my moby number for next time. Then if anything changes you can give me a bell and find out the score. :)
You might even get a free bacon butty out of it. ;)
