rider to pillion intercom

has anyone used a Nady rider to pillion intercom? I've been told that autocom are best but they are quite expensive. I don't need any flash kit, ie; I only want to talk to passenger, not use my moble phone, radio, walkman, mp3 player, video,etc;etc.

There are cheap and simple alternatives. I don't know any sources in GB, but here in Sweden I often see small ads in bike magazines.
We also have "Clas Ohlson" (Gods gift to the home-fiddling gadgeteer). The sell a kit for around €40.

That's how it starts out....however...as time goes by, you may well find that you want to add other stuff...

I started with cheap kit, several in fact, but ended up with Autocom several years ago..

A false economy, as it turned out, going for the cheapest/most basic stuff...

Tested up to 90 mph - no problems whatsoever....

From 14th April Lidl are doing some bike bits.A Tronic rider to pillion for 4.99.I can't believe for one minute that it will be any good at that price.Battery charger for 4.99,tank bag 5.99,chain lock 8.99 plus a few other bits.

It's the same with everything to do with bikeing, you eventually pay for the best, having already bought the cheap stuff.
Cut out the bit in the middle now & buy Autocom.

Having just upgraded my comms from a nady, I may be willing to part with it. I have been quite impressed with the nady rider to pillion set up, it has done us very well in the last 12 months and still works perfik!!

What Kritou said. Couldn't be simpler. Bloody marvellous and lifetime guarantee I think. Had mine about 8 years and a couple of years ago one of the plastic tubes broke. One phone call and replacement sent F.O.C. by return.
