Riding in bus lanes petition!!!

This may well be a thread somewhere in the forum. But if you aren't already aware, there is petition asking/demanding to allow motorcycles to use ALL bus lanes, not just red route bus lanes.

Local authorities are best placed to understand the needs of their road networks rather than central government. The consultation did not find enough evidence of the safety benefits for change.

Motorcyclist are 30% more likely than car drivers to be involved in an accident, and have a 97% chance of suffering a fatality in a collision

They bang on about reducing road death's / casualty's, yet one initiative that could help. they wont mandate in our favour

I'm not sure I'd push bikes in bus lanes as a safety feature. I've had more SMIDSYs from riding in bus lanes than when not and really need to keep a weather eye out at junctions and merge lanes for people not expecting non-buses approaching in the bus lane.
