Somebody must have dreamed this up after some particularly wild AutoCad storming session.

Anybody know if (or how) it works?

Looks to me like a cunning bodge to reduce unsprung mass. The wheel seems to slide up and down the machined bar courtesy of those four shiny rollers. Because none of the yellow bits move with the wheel, the only unsprung masses are the wheel, the roller assembly and part of the Ohlins shock.

Got any pictures of the other side? I'd guess there's no fancy gubbins on that side, with the bottom end of the shock simply attaching to the other end of the wheel spindle.

Adjustable rake as well judging by the slot on the steering head.

Cant work out how your are meant to steer tho, looks like the wheel spindle goes into a frame member?

Looks more like a Photshop special to me. How can the wheel turn to steer? Can't be hub-centre 'cos of the suspension arrangement. Where do the two large tubes (merging into one) go to the front right of the picture?

I know that bike I think. Was it a project for the suspension company Hyperpro, in the late 80s early 90s. I'll see what I can find out about it, Saxon racing might have been involved as well

Tony Foale gives us a nice review of all things forking weird, here.

However I can't say that he describes anything remotely like it.

I think Little red may have somthing here, as we Know a person who tried to race one of his earlier creations, but has now graduated to a new GS 1200

Fine bunch of mates you are, then - posting it on here!!

:D :D :D

Don't believe you, anyways!

He lasted 6 hours before he HAD to tell someone, and you do believe it 'cos you rang to find out.
I'm reliably informed it 's nothing to do with your 'can you stand the pace' comment;)
