I've not been to the mass even though its not far from me. There were plenty of signs about south Monaghan advertising the event. I went to my fair share of bike related funerals and indeed other funerals of my peer group over the years. Its not an event i would like to attend for that reason. 42 fatalities is a lot in a year. If you were to see the candles with all the names it would probably stop and make you think ? I think it will offer some comfort to bereaved families to meet and be able to talk to each other and lend some support.

Bikers have their bikes and each other when times go bad. They sit and chat have a smoke or do whatever they do. For the parents & siblings outside this network this mass could give them some comfort. Its very hard to pick yourself up when you've lost someone but when its sudden tragic circumstances talking to someone else who knows how you feel really does help.
May all 42 rest in peace
