ISTR the indicator flash duration before self cancelling is governed by the wheel rotations (and thus the distance travelled). It does seem to be in the realms of 200 yards or so travelled before the indicators self cancel

clerici Guest Feb 23, 2005 #8 there's another thread about this...much research, someone's nearly completed a PhD on the subject...but useful for M'ways less good on big roundabouts as they cancell before the turning comes up...
