Rivington ride out

Run from Otley café to Rivington barn near Chorley Lancs. Meeting for a departure from Otley riverside café 11.00 Sunday 14 November.
The route is about 140 miles of all road, some narrow with gravel patches. The going is slow and will not suit faster riders.
I rode the proposed route last weekend and was surprised at the variety of riding in the Lancashire dales.
We will stick to the proposed route to Rivington but may finish at a convenient point to make a quick journey home if the weather is poor.
I will post a GPs route map later if anybody is interested.

Would like to do this ride,, But after taking the tip of my finger off at work two weeks ago and still visiting hospital for clean dressings ever 3 days, i can't get my bike gloves on.
Would like to try out my new [to me] G650X Country.
Enjoyed the last run out to Glasson dock.

Tomorrows weather forcast is sunny and dry on Metcheck.com but cold with showers on another site. If its like today its OK for a 100 mile run.
Nobody has shown interest in the ride out but I will still be at Otley cafe from 10.30 to 11.00, hope there is a last minute bit of interest.

While I was sitting in Otley café between 10.30 and 11.00 about twelve cyclist turned up. They had cycled from Castleford and had about 120 more miles to do, more than I anticipated with an engine. A few Harley rides went past on a run out. A couple of Guzzis and a gang of new riders on super sport 125 Yams turned up but no Unstoppable, go anywhere anytime, adventure ,drive all year, indestructible BMWs turned up.

Im out every Saturday and most Sundays so if you fancy a ride contact me on the message board. Ill not try organise another run until mid 2011.
