Road Angel biketrac.

I fitted one on my F800gs, and i wired it through a switched live so it arms automaticaly when you turn off the ignition. A few times i've moved the bike without turning key and within 1minute i had road angel phoning me to tell me the bike is moving. I think it is a good peice of kit which you can trace your routes on map and put up Geo fences up around where you park the bike.

As yet i havnt set up the geo fence as it is only used if you install it using 2wires which then means you arm it and disarm it using your mobile phone to text the unit the security fence is the area you set if your bike moves outside that area the system will alert you.If you install it using the 3wire it is not used as the bike will arm and disarm off the ignition. the instructions that come with it explain the set up and are easy to follow.hope this helps you.

Yes, it does help, for me it may be best to go for 2 wire as I'm pretty good at knocking my bike when alarm is set in my garage, than having to run inside for keys..

Thanks for that.!

Wired & working

Wired with 2 wires & working, still experimenting but on arming it automatically puts a 25 metre geo fence around the bike, I can arm & disarm either via mobile phone or via the web portal with my iphone..

Immediately anyone disconnects the power supply it sends an email with location etc..

A good function is a text alert to inform Ur loved ones or a friend "biker down"

I'm gonna try functions out on my car too.. (not biker down)

Anthony, can you give me some advice about wiring up a Bike Trac. I've just received one. The live and neutral are obvious - I suppose they can connect straight to the battery but I'm unsure where to connect to a source that comes live when the ignition is turned on. A sidelight seems the obvious choice but the way the loom is provided all three connections have to be very close to eachother. What did you do?

Hi Mike, i've got the f800 and i wired it up to the spare socket under the battery panel. If you got the 1200 you got the connector for the sat nav on the head stock you could use. hope this helps

thanks for the reply. I'm already using the satnav connector on the headstock. So I did think the auxiliary socket under the seat would be good. It has two wires brown and another with a few colours. Do you know which to use? I was planning to get one of those Scotch connectors I've used before (can't remember what they are called) to connect into whichever wire is right. I used one connecting up some auxiliary lights I fitted.

Hi Mike you can buy the socket from nippy normans to fit onto it and it tells you on the packet what colour wires are what. I'm working away at moment so i cant look at bike and tell you the colour code until next week sorry
