Road King model changes

I see they have a 'AGM, Committee & Reps Meetings' section..... oh dear, I imagine that loosely translates into 'tantrum and toy/teddy throwing' section :D

To be honest it's just really old fashioned. :rob

There are some very strongly held views about where the club should be going but no concensus and little direction. There's a hell of a lot less tantrums and teddy throwing on there than there is on here. I think there are two reasons for that: firstly it's a club with rules and disciplinary procedures you can fall foul of; secondly everybody's real name is on each post but there are plenty of backpatch members so throwing insults the way you get in the B&B can get you into very hot water really quickly. :eek

The HD community is VERY different to the GS community. The majority of HDRCGB members appear to be traditional bikers (badges, cut offs, beards & tattoos). Many have barely mastered having a mobile phone and at least half don't access the website, depending on The Quin and meeting their mates first XXXXX in the month down the pub :beerjug:

The regions are almost autonomous in the way they operate, although there are a lot of members who don't get involved in the regional activities. Some regions are almost stand alone MCs and have their own funds (some I suspect have substantial funds). Others (mine) are a loose association of likeminded feckwits who really object to being organised. :aidan

If the club closed down tomorrow then I'd still meet up with my mates on a Saturday and we'd still go to a few rallies together. I don't think it will though, it's been around a long time and the will to move it on is growing :thumb2
