Road repairs

Thanks to all the road repair crews who have been working in the Dales over the past few weeks. The worst of the pot holes in some of the best roads have been filled and edges made safe. Hawes to HubberHolme is now filled, worst bits of Kettlewell to Middleham now safe including Parkrash (bet the steamroller driver kept on the up hill side) and the very narrow road from Ingleton to Dent is now resurfaced.

Do they still use steam rollers these days ?

Got to agree they are Very good in north Yorks ...now west Yorks is an entirely different story - dire doesnt even come into it ... Complete waste of money on materials and wages

Lots of resurfacing work going on between Malham, Airton and Langcliffe at the moment (best ways to avoid the A65) so watch out for the huge tipper trucks on the narrow roads
