Glaawstersheer, ennit!
After some thought, and as my HG gear is starting to leak after 4 years heavy use, I reckoned I should get one of these.

I went throught the sizing tool on the website, and I am recommended a 42" L, with a suggestion to stick an extra 1" on the legs. Fine, I thought.

Aftr e-mailing in my order, the very nice lady at Aerostich suggested that they shouldn't send me a custom suit, and that I try an off the peg model first. I understand they're trying to do the right thing and save me spending loads on a suit that will not fit, and which cannot be returned as it's a custom build, but this approach isn't very practical in the UK.

So, anyone got a 42L (EDIT: or a 44L)? Near Glos/Bristol/Bath? Can I try it on? Please?

TYVM in advance.

If you intend wearing back armour or a heated vest you may want to consider a 44 (I'm on my second stich btw):beerjug:

Thanks :beerjug:, will bear that in mind. Similarly, I wear a HG 54 so I can get a back protector and a few layers underneath.

So, revised question :blast : if you own a stich 42L or a 44L.....

I have a 42L custom (extra 1 inch in the leg) which is what you are actually looking for I think.

It is actually too long for me in the leg but as it was an Ebay bargain I put up with it.

I am in north Bristol.

Blimey.

So more in hope than expectation I asked if anyone would let me try a Roadcrafter in a specific size. Less than 24 hours later I have managed to try the exact custom fit I expect to be ordering, without travelling out of my way to any degree. What are the chances?

Thanks MikeS.

Hurrah for UKGSer! :thumby:
