Roads tae Dunkeld

Folks,

The good lady and mewhere meant tae be going to Dunkeld this weelkend to celebrate birthdays, but by the sounds of the news Scotlands shut from Perth upwards and there seems to conflicting reports on what roads are closed/open ?

Anybody from round those parts that could give us some local knowledge on what the roads are like ?

Is it not just the A9 closed due to power lines being down down? It's closed much further north due to weather.

Go up via Dundee/Blairgowrie/Butterstone and you should be OK (I think)

I'm in Perth (on the A9 15 miles south of Dunkeld) roads are black no snow or rain falling. There are problems on the A9 North of Dunkeld but between Perth and Dunkeld is OK.

Problems on the A9 south of Perth between Auchterarder and Dunblane but traffic is moving. Latest Traffic camera pic from A9 south at Dunblane gives you an idea of what it is like at the moment.

If you can get to Perth via the M90 from Edinburgh that might be a safer bet but things look like they are improving all the time.

I might just go via the East coast since theres a few roadworks from Glasgow up the A80 then the weather on the A9 approaching Perth so it maybe the more pleasent route
