It will only be a 4 day trip to Bretagne.

My insurance does not cover roadside, but I am thinking of purchasing cover for the trip only - any ideas, suggestions?

Are there any bespoke companies that offer just that?

AA
RAC
Green Flag

and many others. Just make sure that they cover what you need.

From the investigations I've done over the last month, only GreenFlag will repatriate your bike if you have a non-biking related incident.

Cheers

Leaving the hardware of your motorcycle to one side... Have you arranged suitable Travel insurance for your body and belongings? It can get very expensive (and uncomfortable) if you haven't and don't.....

Are you sure about that? Every Euro breakdown policy that I have taken out has had cover that looks after the vehicle and passengers should the driver(s) be unfit to continue the journey regardless of cause.

My currrent policy is with Europ Assist, purchased from http://www.quotelinedirect.co.uk/
The full policy wording is at http://www.quotelinedirect.co.uk/files/pdf_repository/?File=PW/BR/Policy_Wording_MWAY.pdf - section 2.6 deals with broken drivers.

The breakdown policy won't look after the broken person, as that is what personal cover is for.
