Rocker cover bolts thread size

Yep, I made it, stripped a thread today and need to buy a helicoil kit.

But, I put the bike together again and can't measure the thread.

Does anyone know what size it is? Is it 6x1mm?

Try recutting the thread in the hole and on the bolt with a tap and dye set, there is a very low torque on this bolt and you may just get away with it. Worth a try before going down the helicoil route, I too had a similar problem and it worked for me

yep you are right just done mine the other day with a helicoil from ebay for £16.00 going to have a check on the others soon but worked fine..Transtools-Discount-Warehouse hope this link works

Thought I'd use this old thread as the same thing happened to me yesterday. Happy to fix it but just need to confirm something. This might be a 'bone' question but are these the correct helicoil kit dimensions:

M6 x 1.0 x 6mm long.

If so, is this what I need:
