Afternoon all, been a serial lurker here for months and have to say its a great place to lurk..the moment has come for my first post !!

Its a technical query,my GSA let me down just before christmas due to a combination of tired battery, wetness and coldness. Didnt want to fire at all, got it home and whipped the plugs out, bit old but still sparking, ordered new ones anyway. Battery out and optimated now. The only things i undone were the tank mounting bolt to get the tank up and the battery terminals. Heard something drop out and found a washer on the floor and fecked if i know where its come from.As far as i can make out, the tank mount is a 2 part rubber with a bolt and nut and im sure there wasnt a washer on it when i took it off.

Weird washer as its quite thick with a slight taper.
Any ideas peeps?? Any replies greatfully received..

Lovely photos and a really warm welcome to you. Lurk no longer.

Nothing to do with your washer - but a tip on why your bike wouldn't start after lifting the tank. Throttle cables.

It'll save you having to ask later

Cheers for that squire, something for me to be aware of but i havent tried re-starting it yet.Need to find out where washer came from as its bugging me,just looked at some exploded diagrams and i reckon its from the tank mount bolt.

I’m quite astonished at this post. The guy points out that he has been around for six months but has not posted. Then after his first post, a reply like that. Absolutely unbelievable.
I have always used this forum and any other as I would if I was standing next to the person. :thumb2
Just dam right rude.

Not really anyone that has been around for 6 months will know what Steppers Blaase attitude is and would know better than to take offence
