7:30am! I am in blanket street. Great weather here 12 to 18c clear blue sky

Real hot sun yesterday morning, I cannot remember how long its been since I have seen such white hot sun.
It was 20c in Ronda.
Perfect roads, perfect weather, perfect bike and what happens? I get the jitters.
Self diagnosis is mild dehydration. I should know better and should have had water instead of coffee on the first stop.
I took me a couple on hours and slow intake of water before I came around.
Endless gravel here if that is what you are into.
By the way if you have been to the cafe on the way up on a weekend your picture will be on Facebook.
Extensión Venta El Madroño
I am meeting a guy this afternoon in Marbella who rode a 14 R1200GSA from Dubai

I was in Gib last week shopping. Doing the Monkeys this week

The best way to see the Rock is to take the Taxi tour, it takes about 1 1/2 hours and the price includes entrance into the upper rock ( it's a nature reserve ) and the cave which has a theatre inside its well worth a visit, also the siege tunnels, you will see plenty of monkeys, and great views of Africa on a clear day you can see right to the Rif mountains in Morocco. The price is 25 Euros per person and it's well worth it. If you make your own way up its about 12 Euros just to get in the nature reserve, and then pay extra to get in the cave and pay again to get into the tunnels. You can catch the taxis from Casemates Square. What ever you choose enjoy Gib.

Ian.

I'm on the del sol in Feb for three days and would like to hire a GS or GSA, do you know any one around the region who does this ? thanks in advance

There is a company around Malaga that do bike hire, some on here have used them with good results. Try Google or a search on here.

that great ….just what i needed….many thanks

I'm down there in a weeks time.any info on legal gravel roads in the area.any info or advice appreciated.

Sorry can't help with gravel, tarmac I know the area around Ronda /Vejer / Arcos, pretty well if I can help let me know. I'm sure somebody will be along who can help with the gravel.

I am a tarmac guy so not much help, I would think any gravel you find is good. I couldn't see the Spanish getting exited about a biker tearing down a gravel track.

Last Sunday I did the Ronda run and then went looking for snow, had to go fairly high up mind and it was still 9c.
Some stunning scenery in Andalucia.
