Hopefully good news for us though. I see in the Paper that Maersk have sold "Norfolk Lines" including the routes to DFDS. Hopefully DFDS prices are somewhat similar to those on the Newcastle and Hull sailings:beerjug:

Lets wait and see...Fingers crossed:thumb

Pessimistically speaking......:(

I think it's unlikely that the volume of traffic and the length of the crossing will ever make Rosyth - Zeebrugge a viable route. It's a shame since the ferry sails past the front of my house and I'd like to be able to use it but the times that I've taken a vehicle over to mainland Europe in the past few years, it's made better financial sense to take the Channel Tunnel.

I'd like to be proved wrong....:nenau

DFDS?
I wonder if they'll put on a commercial vehicle to Norway/Sweden - like they do from Immingham?

Aye classic buisiness dilema lower the prices ,mair trade but maybe loose money if there is not enough trade ,or stick wi the volume ye have, make a bit, but its safe. What a benefit it would be to Scotland if they were to risk it on the lower margin high volume model, I wonder how many Scots travel to get a decent price? bet its a huge number .Superfast imho had the right ships but the wrong business model. Even as i gibber on here my riding bud is on the Newcastle Ijmuden ferry .
