i`ve finally got my GS adapted to carry a RotoPax. I gave up with my GSA coz the range is good enough anyway and the slaggings were getting too intense :D

Here`s it fitted showing the 3.8Ltr and the huge 6.6Ltr.

By the way, I`m off to the bash at the end of the month (if we don`t have a monsoon) so please feel free to say hi.

Mark.

That's all very well, but how do fit a topbox now?

Nowhere for the tesco shopping to go

Mmmmmmm

Mmmmm never thought of that.

Not having the brains I was born with nor a topbox that one did pass me by....................

I`ve never been a great fan of the topbox and TBH its just as easy to sling a can in the topbox anyway, if you have one :D

Never underestimate the sheer value of a topbox sir

As you say, you could put a £4.99 unleaded 5l plastic can in a topbox and still have room for yer shopping

Totally agree

Rotopax

Or you could mount it on one of those stainless load plates from that Tosser at Scunthorpe:D

The Rotopax one would bolt straight on, would not do much for good weight distribution on top of the topbox though!

Hi Mark, how are you mate?

It may seem a daft question (mine normally are!) but would the Rotopax fit inside a topbox?...or are they too large?

I've always fancied carrying extra fuel, but never fancied the thought of having a petrol bomb in easy reach of an idiot who might want to put a match to it! :augie

There have been occasions in the more remote countries abroad, where I've pushed the limits of the GSA's fuel tank, but always decided that better planning on my part was better than having to deal with the complications of carrying fuel, either attached to panniers, or carried inside them.

That's not to say you've not done a great job with the Rotopax on your Gs....but then would we expect anything else?!? :thumb

Keep up the good work mate :thumb2

Hiya pal

Hiya mate how ya doing? Good to hear from ya again and I hope you are well!

Anyway, back to the thread - yeah very valid points and I agree totally - the idea of carrying extra fuel must be carefully consdiered for sure and it is a visible danger but I would hope everyone would realise that! theres two types of RotoPax - big and small. The big one won`t fit in a topbox for sure!

btw - I`ve managed to scrape enough time to go for just one day (and night) at the cotswolds bash young Toad is organising - you going by any chance?

It's doubtful mate....there's been 'developments' with my situation..I'll pm you sometime, but it's depressing reading! :blast .....hope you have a great time though, have a few for me :D
