Nigh on 8 years of winter salt has taken its toll, especially aft of the footrest hangars. So is it easier/cheaper to repair the old one (welded up where necessary) or to get a new subframe fitted?
rotting subframe on an 1150-advice please!

Has the sub-frame actually rusted away far enough for it to have compromised its strength?.
A new one would be a fortune,but you can pick up 2nd hand ones for about £70 ish.Have it blasted/powder coated,good as new.
Timolga,i think,was selling one a couple of months ago.Not sure if it went.
Motorworks were advertising on ebay an 1150 they had just got in.Maybe worth a call there.

it looks pretty flaky-pidcocks mentioned it could be a problem at the next MOT. is it reasonably easy to get the subframe off?
