Hello
I have a 2002 1150GS I was out on it today and all was going well running fine until I went to pass a car and opened the throttle ane went over 70 MPH when it lost power and it felt like it was only running on one cylinder I slowed down, well I had to! and it ran very badly still felt like it was only on one cylinder then suddenley it cam back again and ran as it should another brief accelleration and it went back to running badly, I stopped and it did re start but running very badly, it reminded me of when the throttle cable had come unseated although they are both where they should be I managed to get home, there is a spark at both cylinders and it still feels like its only running on one cylinder although both Exhaust pipes get hot.
anyone had anything like this, the sparks were not very strong and I suspect the HT leads
Thank you
Andre

Your fuel hose may be broken inside the tank.
Here is a photo.

@Newsman Drain your tank and I very much suspect you will find water in the base !

A split hose will usually not let you "get on it" at all to be honest

When you give it some water runs back and is picked up by the fuel pump and then it goes Pete Tong until you slow down and it runs forward again and you get fuel to the injectors again

When is the last time you checked your fuel tank filler drain ??

Hello again you helpful people
So I have changed the little U-shaped hose on the fuel filter and made sure the fuel filter was the right way round I have changed the HT leads but still no luck, its still running as if it is on one cyl I have checked the throttle cables are seated correctly.
has anyone got any Ideas what I can look at next? I am on holiday from work this week and was planning to go away on the bike, so I guess that's not going to happen now
Thank you for all your help
Andre

Wondering Andrè if it’s not the hall sensor….
symptoms a "hiccup" or "stumble"; very short loss of power on acceleration then immediately grabbing and taking off.
But first above…the coils and connections? Does your bike use a twin coil or two coils? Is there any cracking on the coil mounts? If you have two coils the left one has the earth attached to it and if the earth is intermittent, then you'll get symptoms. The initial twin coils were known to crack and fail.

Thanks Gentleman it has one coil with both the HT leads coming out of it, I have replaced the leads, I cannot see any cracking on the coil, but it is buried deep under the wiring and cleaning and seeing it isnt the best, I have ordered anoth coil to try, Last year I changed the Injectors for 1200 ones I kept the old ones and changed them back with no difference to the running, both cylinders fire as both pipes get hot, the poor runnig is constant it does not pick up again, when I change the coil I will make sure of the earth, if changing the coil makes no difference I will try the hall sensor I have not done one of those before.
Thank you every one for kind help
