Searched Garmin web site
Couldn'd seem to find any with mapsource and routable

Anyone know of one ?

nuvi 760 / 770 or even better 765 / 775 if you can find any of those. You won't get Mapsource or maps on disc with it but if you're resourceful, there are ways around that.

Nuvi 765s come up on eBay every now and again. As usual you need to be careful buying a used Garmin as you can get in a tangle getting the registration transfered over. You need to make sure that the seller de-registers the unit otherwise you won't be able to obtain and apply mapping updates.

Just looked on site that stated 2450 2460 and 37** nuvi's
looked on garmin site states these take 100 routes so I presume these are ok ?
just looking for best deals :augie

See Below this is a reply i got from Garmin when asking which of their units accept routes from a PC.

Hope this helps.

Andrew

Dear Andrew Harrison,

Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.

I am happy to help please find below the devices that have the feature to take routes created from MapSource or basecamp and then sent over to the device. If the device has LMT , LM , LT or T on the end of the model numbers below will also be compatible. I am afraid that the device listed below are the only ones that are compatible with routes being sent over.

Zumo 660
Zumo 550
Nuvi 3790
Nuvi 3760
Nuvi 3710
Nuvi 2460
Nuvi 2440
Nuvi 1690
Nuvi 1490tv
Nuvi 1490
Nuvi 1440
Nuvi 1410

If there is anything else I can help you with then please let me know.
Alternatively you can search for a solution here: http://www.garmin.co.uk/support

Kind regards,

Nice one andrew :thumb
Did you buy any maps on CD for routing or just send waypoints ?
Saw your thread just before mine :blast

Not bought any maps, I use Basecamp and when the PC is connected to the Satnav the maps in the Satnav are used in the Basecamp programme.

Very new to using Basecamp and Satnav but done a couple of test routes and worked OK, also uploaded routes to my brothers (glenn2926) Zumo660 both worked well.

Great thanks narrowed it down to 1490lmt or 2460 lmt
I think the 2460 is the most recent model :thumb

If you get around to buying a Lifetime update (£50 ish) when your maps are getting a little long in the tooth you can have mapping on the PC/Mac, it's in the install options, button bottom left, about four screens into the update process.

In fact it might be available in the same way via the update you qualify for under the NuMaps 90 day guarantee that you get with a new Garmin.

It downloaded maps straight into my roadtrip app :thumb2
