I have used BMW navigators for past 11 years, I got given a free NAV 6 with my GS1300 and am pretty disappointed by it, really doesn't feel like it has moved on at all in 11 years. I have ended up just using the BMW Connected ride app with the turn by turn instructions on the dash. Being fair I have missed a few turns but I feel like I am used to it now.

The only thing I am missing from the NAV 6 is the ability to plan very specific (to a junction or road) multi point routes which although the UI on the NAV 6 is very slow it can still do this well.

I have not found a good way by either using the app or third party software to get these into the app. Has anyone got any advice?

This is really easy in the Connectedride app. Just zoom into where you want to go via, hold your finger on the location, and it will add way point. If it doesn’t drop it exactly where you want it, delete it and hold it again. You will see a + sign to add it to your route. It even sorts the way points out into travel direction order automatically.

A short screen video of the process on my iPad. The route can be saved for future use.
