Routes and features in mapsource

Gang,

Is there a way of once you have a route setup in mapsource of finding specific features along that route IE fuel stations ?

I had a search of here and google and now't coming up, any enlightened soles know the answer

I don't think so. You can find features near a specific location, near your current location, or find them near either the centre of or on a specific place on the map. So, I guess you could call your route up, then click the find places (binoculars with a red little circle and cross) and it will find any feature near the route you have displayed.

Depending of the map you are using, in some maps POI's (points of interest) are possible to use as way points for routing.

Not a perfect system but better than nowt, you'd think it wasn't beyond the ability of the software to have such an option

Spot on that's exactly what I was looking for

off on a wee scoot at Easter and some of the guys bikes have small tanks, normally I do the on-route find of services with the GPS unit, but I was wanting to print something off this year to give them, so they can make there own judgement.
