routes...mapsource a bit clunky!!

As i use mapsource its shortcomings become a bit more irritating!!

As it can take years, it seems to get to know all of its quirks, I thought I would cut the cr*p and just ask!!

If I create a route..save it etc etc, and then create another route, and save it etc etc, how do I then Merge those two routes??

it would be neat to be able to open both the routes on the same window and then simply highlight both and click "merge", but that does not appear possible..
the best i have managed is to have two routes on the "routes" list and be able to highlight one or the other to work on.

why is this feature needed?
well, when planning routes i often get suggested add ons bits of road from my riding pals, and also sometime see a bit of road i want to add in!

anyone know a way to do this??

I'm not really sure what exactly you want to achieve but have you tried copying and pasting?
To add a bit of road to an existing route I would drag and drop then save it.

Adding bids of roads or changing a litte section is an entirely different approach then merging two (longer) routes.

So what's the actual problem?

Good question... and I almost let it beat me... but I've figured it out for you...

Enter route properties for the second route..... select all the points in that route... Right Click... copy...

Enter the first route's properties... click on the end point.... Right Click Paste.... You now have the first route using all the points of both...
