More forward movement and some extra Height

Index the original position so you don’t have to piss around if you don’t like the ROX. remove all the OME risers so you can copper slip the bolts. I had already re routed the clutch and brake cables in the last riser fitting

Re- fit OME risers to your proffered position (forward for giant or back for midget:toungincheek)

Now fit the ROX to both OME Risers in the ruff position you require

The fitted ROX RISERS, now all I need to do is ride and do the final adjustments to make it all comfy.
Checked the cables, securing bolts all good :D now out for a ride :thumb2

Just fitted a set of SW Motech Vario bar risers - great addition and are adjustable 10mm in height as well. Very well made and look almost OEM.

ROX RISER VERDICT

I’ve removed them,:comfort no I’m serious. To high with the standard HP2 mounts when moving the bike around when the engine OFF but hay that’s a minor point.:D

Although when I set them up, it felt like a good position when standing (less pull on the arms as I could lean into the wind), I felt detached and remote when riding. At first I put it down to 'I need more time to get it', but I just haven’t…. The HP2 felt cumbersome and big, wheelies where non existent:eek: as the rear just spun up… no traction as I could not move around the bike as I did with the old set up.:blagblah

With the old set up back on. we were out Sunday in torrential rain, high winds leaves on tarmac and tracks etc, Wheelies at will (Michelin Deserts) some high speed sand work and lots of water to dodge, It all felt right.:clap
Maybe it’s after years of dwarfing bikes I just don’t get the additional room forded to me when the ROX RISERS were fitted in conjunction with the stock HP2 risers. :nenau
One more thing that came to me with the Rox risers positioned forward, if I had an off, low or high speed and the bike slid down hill backwards or landed upside down, the Rox risers could rotate into the ignition/Speedo or the tank cover. The Repair costs gulp:pullface, I'm gona Stick to replacing a set of bent Bars!!!

I bought these from BamBam and well first fitment were a bit skew :eek, those bloody torqs bolts they use are crap and stripped the heads of two of them with no effort :blast

Got the alignment right over the weekend and set basically straight up and works a treat. I can already feel my shoulder getting better as the position is more suitable.

Handling wise, the bike won't wheelie that easy anymore  Normally you could just turn the power on and the front will start lifting up, now the rear just spins out - :nenau

Besides that I find it great in the traffic and general handling pretty much the same. Will hopefully try to get it offroad at some point in my life  although at the present moment won't know the difference even if there was one :augie

Pushing the bike in and out of the garage does feel different but then again I am only 5'10" on a good day so a bit difficult pushing a bike around with handlebars the height of an old school chopper ape hangers :D

I've Rox's on my GS for a year or so now, luv 'em. At 6'4" they help a lot with comfort over long distances and are great when standing.

Rox Risers for HP2 E

got a pair of rox risers that I bought last year and never fitted them.

Looked like a good idea in the photo but they are too high for me (I am 5.6')
