Hi has anyone had experience of these on a 1200GS either good or bad ? Not looking for suggestions on alternatives I already have the Nippy Norman 'up and back' risers but like the sound of these as they're adjustable.

Thanks, Mike :beerjug:

Not ...

... on a 1200, but they work well on my 1150 :thumb Can be less then intuitive to fit because fasteners get 'shrouded', but there again I'm a fair mechanical numpty

Thanks - I'm looking for maximum rearward adjustment to the handlebars do you think they would work is a 'flat' horizontal postion with no vertical rise ?

I fitted them to my 1200 about three years ago and I am very pleased with them. The only thing I had to do was to reroute the brake line which is now behind the top yoke. The yoke comes off in a couple of minutes so the brake line does not need bleeding.

The level of adjustment is good and the only thing I have to do is when using the BMW tankbag is to tilt them forward a little bit toi avoid handlebar/tankbag contact when getting to full lock.

Excellent thanks think I will give them a try :thumb

I have a set somewhere, had them on my Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere and I think they have the same size bars as the GS, if you are interested I will see if I can find them. They were fairly expensive and had to get them from the USA and it took a while, probabaly only used for about 3000 miles so like new, if interested pm me. Frank

I have a set on my GSA didn't need to re-route the cables.

I originally had the set of risers from Nippys. Wish i'd saved the money and kept those. No difference in height or angle.

Got my Rox risers second hand, just pleased i didn't pay full wack for them.

Thanks Claw I assume you had the Nippy Radius Risers originally (what I currently have). These are quoted as being 40mm higher and 30mm back. If the Rox are 2" long and fully adjustable just seems that I'll be able to set them a little further back (albeit with less height gain) :nenau

It was the radius risers that i had.

For the sake of an extra few mm of adjustment the rox risers don't make any noticeable difference for me. They also have the rubber dampers fitted to help with bar vibration, again they're doesn't seem to any difference between Nippys and Rox's version.

I wouldn't have changed over, but they are good quality, and if Frankh's (above) set above will fit, there's only one way to find out if you'll like them :)

Thanks for the risers Frank :thumb

For any short armed people out there I can confirm the Rox Risers bring the bars back 20mm further than the NN Radius Risers albeit not quite as high - but imo a better position if you're vertically challenged :D
