Hi,
I am trying to use the RSS feed on the site. It sort of works except that when a new post comes in on a thread for some reason the RSS feed spits out the original post rather than the new one. This is a bit pointless as you then have to pull up the whole thread just to read the post - which is ofcourse tricky on a phone?

Or am I doing somerthing wrong?

cheers

I think the RSS just includes the first post, and you have to follow the link to the site to read more. This kind of works for me (on the iPhone via Feedler Pro and on the PC via Google Reader) as I'm really only interested in new threads and those that I have replied to. Feedler / Google takes care of the former, and email notification handles the latter.

At least I think that's how it's supposed to work ...

I agree its nearly there. however if a thread gets posted to over and over again - it would be nice to get the new posts rather than the first one over and over.

If a moderator is looking : it would also be nice to have the forum and thread tittle at the top of the message too so one knows where its come from.

I don't get the first one over and over - it's only unread once and then stays read, regardless of how many replies it attracts. If the thread were to pop up in the RSS anew for each reply it'd be a right pain IMO.

Agree with you on the title though, a bit more detail would be good.

update

I am still getting the issue where when I subscribe to a thread with an RSS reader, everytime the thread gets updated I get an RSS message (which is great) but with the original post (which is a pain) .. it would be so much more useful if it contained the new post.

Anyone managed to work around this?
