My st wheels are more or less shot and rebuilding will get expensive. I have a pair of old rt 18" alloys and an rt ohlins shock and final drive. Anyone know if I could replace the final drive with the rt drive or would I need a new swing arm and drive shaft? Not a purist and quite like the idea of the alloys and tubeless tyres. I know the old shock mount on the st swing arm would look odd/redundant but could this work?

No reason why you couldn’t fit the 4 stud bevel.
It will go straight on

Cheers Mike, was just an idea as would make use of the bits I have, worried a bit about the ohlins fitting and the geometry but I suppose I will find out!

I have this very set up on my ST Bitsa bike - 18" cast wheels front and back using a 4 stud monolever final drive. I didn't convert the bike - previous owner did all the work however I can confirm that it fits and works. The entire front end on my bike was swapped to a K system using twin discs. I'm now in the process of swapping back to spoked wheels 17/19 which is quite a project. Good luck:thumb
