I have paired my Sony Smart Wireless Pro bluetooth to the bikes audio system. I notice the wheel does not adjust volume, is it only the BMW system 6 that pairs completely with the audio on the bike ?

Alternatively, is there an audio 'out' for ear buds to get sound direct and have the wheel control the volume ?

I had a Sena SMH10 when they first came out but had 2 sets under warranty before I gave up on them and sold the thing. For single user not bothered about other bike or riders what's considered the best helmet bluetooth system ? have Sena improved ?

I have the new RT LC, when connected with bluetooth you need to turn up the volume on your autocom device. Incidentally, I have the Sena SMH 10 and it works by revolving the dial on the side of the sena pod. With the new RT unless you drill a hole in the locking cover under which the USB and audio connector is you are stuffed.

No = you can only use the wheel with the built in speaker or the BMW bluetooth system. Really annoying. I use Cardo Scala 6 and 9s (I have a fair sprinkling of both) and they are the devil's incarnation of the black art of bluetooth pairing and dropping/reconnecting. There is absolutely no pattern to how it works. Having said that, the bluetooth in the RT LC bike is miles better than the BT in the previous air-cooled one I had: that was really buggy and inconsistent.

Not quite true...

If you install Autocom, it works as if it were a speaker and so the wheel controls the volume perfectly.

Otherwise, IME only BMW bluetooth ail pair properly. Mind you, it works faultlessly...

The BMW bluetooth should be compatable with all systems, though my local dealer said (surprise, surprise) that it works best with the BMW helmet bluetooth set, though as I said, my Sena SMH 10 works fine paired to a Zumo 660 and the RT bluetooth radio.

I use the Scala G9x headset. No problems with BT pairing, but volume can only be adjusted on the headset.

Just out of interest, can anyone get the music to play off the Nav V when not using BMW helmet. I use a Sena SMH10, can listen to usb and bikes radio, but not music on Nav V.

Nope. The BMW audio overrides the Nav5 mp3 player, which is a bit annoying.
