Hi all
Can anyone recommend heel plate protectors for the R1200 RT LC (2015). My current 2013 RT has has the paint rubbed off where the inside heel area of my boot touches the silver footrest hanger.
I always wear race boots (and I've got fat calves according to the wife) so was wondering if anyone knows of a solution.

Secondly can anyone recommend additional spot lights / spot light system? Ideally I'd like these mounted low on the bike to give a good spread of light and make me more visible
Thanks in advance
Mark

I have the BMW LED lights on my bike, no messing OEM switch on left side and have them on most of the time.

Happy to show you if your anywhere near me in the French side of Kent

I'm also interested in any replies about the foot rest hangar protectors. The paint on my hangars has rubbed through something terrible, but I have yet to see any products to help prevent / hide this.

on my 2013 RT i got some black carbon type sticky ones , so for this 2015 one I'm thinking get a sheet of the protective paper , clear or carbon ,cut to shape and hey presto.

I would have some one would have jumped on the selling ship by now ,

There used to be a US company made stick-on plastic (carbon fibre look) protectors for the Twin Cam RT but they had stopped manufacturing them by the time I found out about them. :blast The only ones I could then find were on eBay, came from Holland and cost about £16 from memory. They looked great but were basically just pre-shaped sticky-backed plastic film and wore through in a couple of days.

Not having the tools or skills for anything more 'elegant' I bought a roll of black velcro (comes in various widths and lengths) from Halfords, cut a couple of lengths of the furry side and stuck these on the bike - works beautifully, can be renewed in seconds and totally removed without leaving a mess when you sell on the bike (leaves nothing behind but a bit of gum that white spirit will shift). HTH :thumb2
