Been away with my daughter on the RT for the last couple of days.....kin ell, it's been hot!
Got stuck in 5 miles of slow-moving/standstill traffic on the M6 round Stafford yesterday, hottest I've seen the temp gauge get, so kept switching it off, as per the handbook.
Anyway, parked the bike in the garage on our return last night, rolled it out this morning to clean all the bugs off it....and it took ages to fire up - 4 or 5 long presses on the starter before it eventually burst into life, whereupon it ticked over beautifully.
It usually fires up first time, every time, and since I fitted the new starter a few days ago, it spins much quicker than previously. Could the need for much churning have been down to the heat? Fuel evaporation, perhaps? Or indicative of something else?
