Apologies if this has been covered before.

Time for new tyres on my 9 month old RT,Wc. 6200 miles

The rear is fine but the front is on the limit, and uneven wear,Conti,s:barf

So what is recommend to replace them please.
My thoughts are Michelin Pilot 4 GT?

Anyone been pleased with alternative makes?

Thanks

I fear that this could develop into a very long thread, tyres are very much an individual choice and will depend on riding style, tyre pressures and whether one up or two up on the bike. If you do two up work, the Pilot 4 GT has a stiffer carcass which some will say takes away the compliance. I have had bikes with both the Conti's and the Pilot 4 GT (new bike returned due to corrosion issues, 2 loan RT's and my current bike) but have found both makes ok.

Shouldn't be a long thread as there isn't a huge choice of recommended rubber for the RT Wc.

NOG say 3 options

Pilot road 4 GT, Metzeler Roadtec z8 and Conti,s
I haven't used Metzelers since airhead days so any feedback welcome.
Tyre pressures I always use 36/42 ,and solo riding.
Thanks

Got a pair of Z8's on my '05 RT- feel very secure and planted- better than the T30 Bridgestones I had on it before, can't comment on wet grip yet as they haven't seen any.

Happy with the Z8's on mine, rear tyre is shot (squared off) at just under 7K. I've had no issues in the wet with them and they performed well in the Alps 2 up with luggage , with predictable handling and plenty of grip.
