RT wheels on a GS? What are the pitfalls?

If I stick some RT (or similar) wheels on my 1150 is there anything else I need to pay attention to?
What happens to the steering, ground clearance, suspension quality and speedo reading?
I'm sure this has been asked a bezillion times, so I apologise in advance...
