For Sale Ruark templar 11 HiFi Speakers

A bit old school but there'll still be a few audiophiles on here...
These fitted in superbly in our spacious big gaff in France but really don't now we are back in a smaller place so I need to downsize considerably.
They sound superb as you'd expect from a pair of speakers that cost 2 weeks wages back in the day.
They're in great condition, no pushed in tweeters. They seem to be anything between £150 and £300 on ebay, dunno what they actually sell for? (2 pairs on now, £182 and £260)
I'd like £125 collected from East Yorkshire ( I often traipse across to West Yorkshire and also down to Warwickshire so could meet/deliver if close to the route between...)
Happy to post at your expense...but they're big and heavy...













(Yep, the patio needs relaying, the fence if fecked and the neighbours heat pump is a tad noisy.....)

I have a pair of those. Fab speakers, really nice sound.

A pair of those and a nice streaming amp and you’re sorted!

I knew there were others with great taste....my mate has the Talisman (hooked up to some Roksan stuff...very nice) but they really were a tad too big.

They are c 31" x 11" x 9".....they'll fit.

Had a pair back in the day (1990's). Nice little floor stander. The bung at the rear is for loading them with sand/shot etc to make them more stable and damp down the cabinet

Lovely speakers, I had the MK1s. Ruark were top quality manufacturers (still are) and they are a great no fuss speaker. Easy to place, easy to listen to without being boring. A bargain.

And ….. back up for sale with a moral to the tale. Worth checking with your partner as my wife has taken a dislike to them and the aggravation is just not worth it :-( I’ll do a new post at some stage. In the meantime thanks to Dave for sorting it out quickly and JB for collecting them. Worth a pint of Guinness or two when we get to Ireland JB!

Thats's a shame....but relatable as my Mrs hated them...but she has zero musical taste and would be happy with my old PYE transistor radio from 1977.
I'm now on the lookout for small quality bookshelf speakers if anyone reading has a pair for sale. (They're to be attached to Arcam 8 Alpha amp and CD and Project Carbon turntable and in a smallish room.
