So pootling along on my 5 year old stead Puig screen in the raised position when I rumbled over some painted chevrons and hear a crack and the screen drops to a lower/ flatter position. Twat.

In profile the bike looks like a wide mouthed plankton feeder, I’ve circled the failed left hand plastic

When viewed from in the front the right hand side has failed…..IMG_8083.jpeg

Matching the left….

My Google /you tube search identifies This item and I also need the correct Left hand unit too.

My questions to the Collective are…..

1) Any one else suffered this failure 2) Any aftermarket improvements? 3) Any body have the correct part numbers, please?

TIA

Well documented, as is the fix.
Part from AliExpress.
Watch the yt vid on how to replace it. That's what I did for mine.

Aftermarket improvement is Puig ERS. I've been using mine for 5 years now, no problems at all, but I've lubricated it periodically. Fitting it removes all that bracket that's broken. Expensive but got mine at a much lower price at the time, from M&P.

That's disappointing old love, could it be caused by that off roading you did last week?

Should you be riding over chevrons?
Well I don’t see the point in sitting in a queue of cars whilst on my steed of awesome (but fragile) ness.
So yes I filtered over the white road markings painted to Divide, Seperate and Protect traffic.
I opted to do this because nothing was using the space to turn right, AND they were not bordered by a solid white line.
