I have just had a Rukka Armas jacket replaced under warranty and see the ventilation zips have moved to the front of the shoulder rather than in the armpit. Has anyone found this an improvement?

If not looks like a ventilated summer jacket is on the cards. Possibly the Rukka Päijänne or a Stadler.

Thanks

Why not wait until the summer, if that ever arrives in 2014.

You will be familiar with the effectiveness of your old jacket and its armpits zips. Try your new one (with it its shoulder zips) when it's warm / hot; you'll know which you prefer and whether any further significant outlay is justified.

There again, if you are just wanting an excuse to buy a fully ventilated jacket; what are you waiting for? Get out there and find yourself a bargain in January.

They are very effective but I guess it depends what bike you are riding. When I ride my K with the shoulder vents open, it blows the jacket up like a Michelin man and cools the jacket well.

Very warm weather and I have to open the main zip in traffic. Despite having the Cool coating it is still too hot on the hottest days.
