Rukka Armas - magnetic closure

Came very close to buying an Armas today. Everything about it was great, no velcro which is very important to me. However one thing put me off, the magnetic neck closure.

It just seems far too weak to actually stay in place once the wind gets at it and I fear it will just start flapping around and annoying me once I am on the move.

Does anyone have one of these jackets who might care to comment on this element?

I bought the armas jacket few days ago and the neck closure is velcro

same here. i bought mine on tuesday and its velcro. when i asked why it wasn't magnetic i was told rukka had changed it as an "improvement"
looks a good bit of kit, although i haven't had chance to try it yet !!!

Well I bought one anyway and it had the magnetic closure.

It does seem to stay in place but I am sure you lads are better off with velcro.

I find that it is a bit of a faff making sure the magnetic bit is aligned and 'sticking' when you put it on. Velcro is indeed, an improvement.

I've try'd the amas also, I'd think about using stronger earth magnetics. I thought the neck magnet felt quite weak.
