The Gore-Lockout system is a new technology, at least in motorcycle jackets, if not in kitchen sealing plastic bags, so there's a little learning curve: 1) Make sure you push the «male» part all the way down before pulling the slider up (but that's just like all regular zippers, right?), 2) USE the lock located underneath to prevent the two parts to separate and lock it up, 3) DO LUBRICATE the system with silicone. It is going to be a no-brainer sooner than you think.

What lock?

What lock?

There is a small lock on the underside(body side) of the zip ends...when the two zip ends are placed together the lock is engaged to stop movement, then the zip can be pulled up.

If you do this, then I think the zip is fault free...if you don't you're in for trouble.
