Rukka - educate me.

Isn't Rukka gear issued to the Police ?? I remember seeing quite a few plod with the kit on a few years ago. If it's good enough for them to use daily, it must be pretty tough stuff.

Had some HG gear - leaked like a sieve.

I now use Rukka Armacor gear and its superb. I use it daily and when bits do wear out due to mechanical use e.g. zips, velcro, etc. they get sorted by Rukka. They fix / replace as they wear for 5yrs. Maybe not a good offer for leisure bikers, but useful for people who use their bikes for daily transport.

I'll spend £1000 on my next Rukka suit without batting an eyelid - £200/yr for decent all year round kit, bargain.

Assuming you're working 252 days a year and no leasure riding, that's only £0.79/day, pretty good cost per use if it keeps you warm, happy, safe and comfortable!!!

The 5 year warranty says it all - I wonder what BM offer without you having to take out additional cover after year two???

I think you get the same warranty with BMW too.

The guarantee for waterproofing comes from Gore Tex and that is 5 years. Other membranes like Shelltex give you 3 years.

My Rukka kit leaked and has been replaced a number of times, the build quality of the kit is very good but the problems I had were all about it leaking.

For some reason, the Streetguard doesn't do it for me despite being able to get discount.

NOG have a selection of Sreetguard suits on sale as of today, serious savings on current stock only.

I wear it every day and for me one of the biggest plus is that it dries so fechin quick despite getting soaked....

that's mine - bought from Bikerland, great service. It does dry very quickly, my only (minor) criticism is that it's a bit too warm in warm weather. 100% waterproof, good fit, good pockets, and good armour too
