Rukka Gloves difference?

Unless someone could tell me the Rukkas are a different league?

I've thrown my hands (and the rest of me) down the road, into the mud and along the gravel more than once in Apollos, though never at real speed - always survived. Always 100% dry too.

Only thing is that they're really only three-season, not four...

That's about as real world as you can get, cheers :beerjug:

Crashed in 'em, mate? How did they stand up? Pants?

I try not to :D but they certainly offer far more protection than the type of gloves I generally wear.

A bit bulky for my liking and I've not even used the 'warmer mode', slightly restrictive for my use at work with constant junctions and using a ptt radio button but for a long cold and wet journey they're brilliant.

I have the Apollo's - in fact I'm on my 3rd pair. I wear them all year round for commuting about 20 miles each way, except when it's too hot in summer and I switch to some non waterproof Racer's. I like the GoreTex XtraFit. I do have heated grips and handguards, though.

I have the Apollo's.

They are a waterproof summer glove. Ok down to around 10 degrees celcius for me.

I have two pairs of Rukka gloves. One pair has but two fingers and one thumb *. Should I be worried?

* On each glove.

I have Argosaurus they are a winter glove with hard protection, the sizing is odd so go Hughes from someone who will look after you.mmi bought mine in the shop at smart riders Christchurch. They replaced them when the hard palm protectors split.

I had the same issue with the Argos. Really uncomfortable with badly placed plastic palm protectors that eventually split. Really disappointing for such an expensive glove.
I've had a host of issues with my armas suit too. The construction and materials is top notch, but the detail design is more 'fashion' than function and the level of testing is poor, so no more Rukka for me thank-you
