I have had a Rukka two piece for something like ten years. It's probably covered 30k miles.

It's getting frayed around the edges the main zip puller tab has long gone, but generally it's still tidy. Leaks, but hopefully a wash and reproofing will see that sorted.

So what's a reasonable life span of this very expensive?

I would ask whoever you bought it from if they think it is worth sending back, they will know Rukka's policy.

My last one I had for 12 years, and is now used when Green Laneing.... re-proof it and see if it still leaks.

It about the condition, my APR3 is about 9 years old now, i still use it but it is quite tatty now and the back armour has started to break up, no leaks though and the pump up jacket liner still holds pressure, the trouser cuffs are very tatty, i reckon its worthless really. It's done IRO 100,000 miles I think.
