Rukka jacket and non-Rukka pants???

I recently acquired a Rukka Steel jacket. The jacket has the full round waist zip to fasten to the pants.

In an effort to try and avoid the perils of Rukka's pricing policy, is there an alternative brand of Goretex/waterproof pants (pref with some armour) whos zip is compatible with the Rukka jacket zip??

Buy a brand of trouser where it is automatically supplied with a matching zip for the jacket (i.e. you get both parts of the zip).
BMW certainly used to do this with their trousers, and maybe still do.

From experience, it is usually a great deal easier to put a new half-zip on the jacket rather than the trousers. Of course the larger the waist, the longer the zip. I would expect 3 or 4 different full-length-connecting-zip lengths depending on the size of the waistband.

As it happens, I only ever buy BMW gear (and always at sale prices!!!) so that I know stuff will zip together. Even that assumption is not foolproof as the zip length of my size 26 Streetguard jacket is not the same as my size 26 Atlantis trousers.
