Rukka Sizing

I'm thinking of buying a Rukka Voyage-R from Sportsbikeshop and watched the video review. The chap reckons that Rukka sizes are bigger than standard and that he wears a small even though he has a 40 inch chest - same as me.

Ideally I would try on the small & medium, but none of the dealers within 100 miles have either size in stock. So, can anyone corroborate the statement that Rukka sizes are one size bigger?

IIRC Sportbike shop offer free returns, so if I'm correct I'd order both and keep the 1 that fits. Don't forget to put on what you would normally wear underneath on a cold day etc when trying them on.

I don’t think there is any clear correlation.

I am 6’ with a 32” inside keg. I have two Rukka suits, both of the same size (58) and leg length C2 ie. the medium leg length. They both fit me perfectly. I bought a third suit, assuming the size / leg length would need to be same. It wasn’t. I had to go down a size. Even that was too long in the arms and way too long in the leg. I am having it altered by Hideout Leather. I think it is the style of suit, as much as anything else, which dictates sizing.

Just order the two sizes into your local shop to try it on. There is no charge to you, when doing this way, unlike having to cough up for both garments, then faff about with returning one, as well as waiting for a refund to come through.
SBS will send you text message letting you know when the garments are ready for you to try on, and they also keep them for a week in store. Meaning you can trot over the at your own leisure.

Ordering both is an option, though shelling out the initial £1400 for two jackets doesn’t appeal too much. Maybe I’ll go for the S and see how it fits.

I recently bought a Voyage R jacket to replace an older model. I found the size of the Voyage to be no different.

Check motocentral. They offer ukgser subscribers a 10% discount. They also accept free returns I believe!

I've found quite a difference between the Rukka suits I've tried. I'm 6ft 5 and 100kg.

Trek-r - I'm a 56 top and bottom (reg leg) with ample length and size
Voyage-r - 56 jacket too short in the sleeve and I ended up getting a pair of 58 long trousers... To match the explor-r jacket as they were on a massive sale....
Explor-r - 56 jacket plenty long enough although a tighter fit than the trek-r

I'm summary you gotta try them all on! A big difference between the different models.
