It's Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials this week and it looks like someone is running an F800GS Adventure with a sidecar. I know there's a class for almost everything....

If only it was that simple. I haven't been since 2007 but that year there were a couple of journalists from Performance Bikes who had tried to set the 600 cc faired streetbike record on a CBR600R and had discovered just how challenging Bonneville can be.

If you were serious, you'd need to look into the class structure and see what the current record is and what sort of other machinery might be in the hunt.
