Running in a New 1200 are they lumpy for the first few miles?

Running in my new 1200SE and it seems a bit lumpy at low revs when moving off.I've had 5 of these bikes and normaly have bought them from a dealer a fair way away so ride it home and all has been well.This bike seems lumpy from pull away unless you rev it and vibrates so the screen moves a bit ,but once going is fine ,its almost like clutch judder ,do the clutch plates take a bit of bedding in? I have only done 50 miles so I know its early days but the GSA's I had before didn't seem like this mabe because they were bigger in mass and weight am I just being unrealistic or does it sound like anything to bother the dealer with.By the way did the TPS thing no difference. Otherwise like the size and weight of it and usability

My SE is the 3rd 1200GS I have owned and the smoothest yet. I would get a dealer to look at yours if its vibrating and running badly at low rpm.

Does not seem ok... If you had others so you can tell the boxers' roughness from an inline four, then any more lumpiness is likely abnormal.

Not a mechanic, but I d look into throttle bodies balancing first? What do you guys thinnk?

Thats the diagosis .It should bed in with miles ,everything else checked out ok so better get out and use it

Robbo your most probably treating it with kid gloves,give it a bit more when setting off.

My GS was nice and smooth with no lumpyness at all. My GSA was also luvly and smooth although a bit more vibey once you got going. I would get the dealer to have a look next time you are up there if it's annoying you.

I have a 2009 SE and mine was lumpy until the first service. ( I really missed my 1150!). After that its brilliant! Really smooooooth and quick. Once you've had the first service you need to open it up and rev it. - That's what I was told by the tech who serviced it. I've had an 1100, an 1150 and now this 1200. This is the best - no question!!
