Running In an ADV

Hello folks,

Just placed my order for a 05 Adventure

Does any one out there have a proven method of running in the ADV motor for prolonged engine life??

Bandito....welcome to the board and 'grats on the choice of bike....

Try a search using the button at the top of your screen....not your fault, but this question pops up every other month....the search button will bring up several hours of reading material for you on running in a new bike.

Crack open a beer and enjoy.

(hint; just like you should with the throttle on a new bike )

Very interesting!!! My '99 R1150GS started its hopefully long life as a demo bike and was bought by its first owner at 1,000m.
There is no oil consumption whatsoever and now has 50,000m...
