been out this morning done about 80 miles all ticking along then was in 4th going around a corner and i felt her miss a bit thought feck me here we go.slowly came to a stop.doesn't want to rev will tick over OK ish but try to load her up and she spits and farts like a good en.got her home just slipping the clutch and keeping the revs to about 3000.took the tank and pump off all looks fine loads of fuel pressure filter clean. took of the bottom pulley to have a look at the hall sensor loads of rubber dust all over the sensor.does this cause a problem?? any help will do chaps. cant have two broken bikes in me garage

dust

the dust on the hall sensor shouldn't affect it, if the sensor does fail I'm not aware of any displaying visible signs of failure but as it is running this would not be my first suspect. It sounds more like fuel or ignition circuit, mind you the hall sensor is part of the ignition circuit. I know that's not much help to you.

Best bet would be speak to Steptoe (on this site), he's not too far from you and is a font of wisdom.

Checked the seating of your throttle cables on both sides? One might be caught on the little adjuster ferrule. If it is, it'll make the bike run like a bitch.

steptoe might have hit the nail on the head.because over xmas i set the tps up as per a tread somewhere on here, then when it first started it was like it was over fueling as if the choke was choking it like the old days of chokes and carbs. try it for a couple of days ,stayed the same i then set it back to where it was ans starts and ran fine until today.buttttttttttt when i check it with the code reader it showed up with a tps fault, butttttt i didnt take much notice because of missing about with it ..:blast so i think get the code reader back from bro/inlaw an check again ah what do you think steptoe???? and who might have a spare i can try first:D but also tonight i noticed my fuelpump marking a loud noise never heard it before.. bike so quite you can only here injectors tapping along before?

just finished messing with the bike.put the code reader on and all came back clear so did it again and clear again..so thought sh?t..what now?? so i took the tank back off and took-out the pump and filter.thought i would have a look at the filter, and there it was staring me in the face.a split sill around the filter.blow through the filter with me finger over the end and out came the air..so figures fuel pressure pi??ing out around the sill and not down to me injecters. so crimped it back up as a quick fix put it all back together and hay bingo ran like a dream no noise from the pump and rev ed right upleft it warm up still seemed ok.so tomorrow will take out and see if all OK,so will let you know tomorrow..ps need an old hall sensor plate if anyone has old one at a small price..cheers for now:

all fixed now.was the filter and what a difference it has made.

Good for you using a code reader, and well done fixing it, top marks that man :thumb
